Book pricing for print-on-demand publishing is very affordable. There is no requirement to order a certain number of books and once your files are ready for print, the price of the book remains the same whether you order one or a hundred copies.
The final price of any book will vary according to the size and the length of the finished volume.
I’ll use the example of a 300-page, 6x9 book, which is a typical size and length. The wholesale cost would be 4.80. That means, if you sell it through a bookstore or online retailer, your cost would be the cost of the book, plus the retailers mark-up.
If you order printed books to sell yourself, the cost of that book will rise slightly, to $5.40 per volume. There will be no additional mark-up, so you will retain all profits above the cost of printing
Remember, Luminare does not take ANY markup on book sales. The costs above reflect printer charges only.
The numbers for each book will vary, according to the number of pages, but you can use this as a general guideline when you are considering print options.
