When Dr. Mark Heyman was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in 1999, he experienced firsthand the unique mental health challenges of people with T1D. As a diabetes psychologist and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist (CDCES), his mission is to ensure everybody with T1D has the support they need. Dr. Mark lives in San Diego with his wife, Gayle, and daughter Hannah.
