Northway grew up in Oregon and, while interested in flying from an early age, he did not get his pilot license until he was almost fifty. An engineer and retired utility department manager, he has owned several antique aircraft, which he flies from his home airport in Creswell, Oregon.

Flying the Interstate
My Rag and Tube Journey from Oregon to Oshkosh
Released: October 2021
Follow Mathew Northway as he takes his freshly rebuilt antique aircraft on a cross-country flight to attend the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual fly-in at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
You’re in the cockpit as he navigates the passage through the Rockies, across the Midwest plains, and into what is for one week each year the busiest airport in the world. The return trip is no less challenging, and as with most true stories of real trips, not everything goes as planned.
