Custom Interior and Cover Design
Original, customized book cover design. After initial consultation and questionnaire, Luminare works with a professional book cover designer to create a strong, saleable cover.
Custom interior formatting will ensure that your book looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside. The interior fonts, typography, and layout will coordinate with your cover to achieve a smooth, cohesive look and feel for your book.
ISBN, Library of Congress, and Registration with Bowker’s Books in Print
Luminare will provide an ISBN and a compatible barcode for each product. Having both the barcode and ISBN on the back of your book ensures that your book is ready to be sold.
A Library of Congress catalog control number is a unique identification number that the Library of Congress assigns. Librarians use it to locate a specific Library of Congress catalog record in the national databases.
Luminare will submit your book to Bowker’s Books In Print, the industry’s largest database of books. Inclusion in Bowker’s will make it easier for your customers to discover, evaluate, and order your book.
Distribution
Your book will be available for distribution through major online retailers and bookstores. Print-on-demand means that Amazon, for instance, will always show books in stock. Customers will also be able to order through bookstores, with delivery in a matter of days.
Proof Copy Before Publishing
A physical proof will be your first glimpse of your finished book. It gives you (and us) a chance to check that every detail is in place before we go to press.
Marketing
Luminare will schedule a marketing call, to discuss ways to reach your audience. We will talk about niche audiences and avenues you can establish to reach readers and media outlets.
Complimentary Books
With a Luminare publishing package, the first five copies of your book are on us!
E-book Publishing
Luminare includes e-book files as part of our core publishing package. E-book files will be delivered as Mobi/Kindle and ePub formats, which allow you to sell an electronic version of your book on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and your own site. Luminare Press will upload your files to Kindle Direct Publishing and link the e-book to the print book.
