Our À la carte services are the best choice for experienced authors who know how to publish and market their work, or for publishers who need high-quality, professional design for their clients.
Our publishing packages are the preferred choice for first-time authors and for book series authors who need to focus on writing and marketing their books, with the assurance that all publishing aspects are professionally done and taken care of.
With all publishing packages, authors keep control of the process, publishing, and design aspects.
- What package is best for me?

No matter what package you choose, you’ll get professional book design and guidance from Luminare Press. The Boutique package represents our standard solution that balances quality and accessibility for authors with a ready-to-publish manuscript.
Premium and Platinum packages are designed to offer a complete publishing solution that includes copyediting as part of the process. We recommend our Premium package to all authors with an unedited manuscript. However, if you know you need help with marketing your book, the Platinum package may provide a better value to you as it includes the latest version of the Book Launch Kit and a custom author website.

- Can I add optional services after I start?

Absolutely! You’ll have a level of flexibility that allows you to review your project and add elements as you need. We’ll be always ready to help you choose and understand the different options, with the pros and cons of each. Our goal is to guide any author toward a successful publication.
- How long does it take to publish a book?

On average we are able to publish a finished manuscript within four to six months. The exact timing depends on the complexity of the project and if the author is able to provide all assets (complete manuscript, images, footnotes, index…) in the requested format in a timely manner. We know that publishing is often not a linear process, that’s why a project manager is key to ensuring all parts keep moving forward. After we evaluate your project and you sign a contract, we’ll be able to give you an estimate on timing based on the complexity of the work and your goals.
- Can I get an editing sample?

An editing sample is always included when you sign a contract for copyediting or line editing. It gives you a chance to see what the editor is focusing on and address any concerns before the whole work is completed.
- What type of book can I publish with you?

Luminare Press can design and assist with publishing almost any fiction, non-fiction, or illustrated picture book. However, as a hybrid publisher, we reserve the right to decline work on books whose content we find objectionable, for whatever reason. Our core packages are limited to the formats available through POD, but we can work with you on formats for non-POD printing for an additional fee.
- Do you print, distribute, and sell my book?

As a hybrid publisher and boutique book designer, we don’t print or sell books. We do set your book up for wide distribution through online retailers and brick-and-mortar bookstores.
