Owen's Poetry and Love Story by Owen Loof

by Owen Loof

  • Released: March 2026
  • Genre: Poetry

This is the love story of two people who were looking for a special person to have in their lives. They did see one another once before actually meeting, but it was inconsequential. Then a couple of years went by, there were more life experiences, the world went crazy, they met again, and the magic happened. This was the exact right moment to get together. You will read the poems Owen wrote before Christine, which tell one story, and the poems for Christine, which tell another one. You will also read their unconventional love story.
They are both seventy-six years old, and Christine is eight months older. Owen is a widower who was married for forty-five years. Christine has been divorced for over thirty years. Owen moved back and forth across the ocean from Hawaii to Rockaway, and Christine has lived in the same home for over forty-four years. Christine was a Spanish teacher before raising her family, and she returned to school later in life to earn a master’s degree in ESL. Owen started college at age forty-seven, received a master’s degree in history, and taught American History for twelve years in Hawaii. There are some differences in how their search for someone special proceeded and how they arrived where they are today. But the bond and connection that developed quickly and that everyone can see is as strong as their love for one another. Fate always plays a part in our lives, and a little prayer does not hurt. So, enjoy reading how each worked their magic for Owen and Christine.
