Ulendo by Lewis Richard Luchs

by Lewis Richard Luchs

In the memoir, Ulendo, author Lewis Richard Luchs recounts his experiences in Central Africa in the 1960s. Luchs bore witness to the formation of an independent Malawi. In his role as a young Anglican priest in charge of St George’s parish in Zamba, then the capital city of Malawi, he had the opportunity to observe the transition of a small African country into a member of the Commonwealth of Nations.
